Apple Pie Apples
- A few green apples
- pre made pie crust found in refrigerated section
- Large can of apple pie filling
Hallow out the apples and you can use some of that in the pie filling if you want by just cubing it. Spoon pie filling into apples. Cut pie crust into strips and layer it over the apples. Place apples in an 8×8 pan. Add just enough water to the cover the bottom of the pan.Cover with foil and bake for 20-25 minutes.Remove foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes or until crust is golden brown and sliced apples are soft.
Husbands Review: He had to jump in and help hallow out the apples which was a huge pain, he liked them though.
My Review: Way too much work but a pretty package 🙂 It looks so simple until you start hallowing those apples! I probably won’t be making these again, just not worth it.
